Lavishly displaying bowls or baskets of oranges throughout the house (especially on kitchen and/or dining room tables) is an action believed to bring abundance and wealth into the home during the 15 days of Chinese New Year! For those of you snowbound, you can go ahead and use images of oranges substituting for the real deal (until or unless you can get some of your own.) Don’t forget at midnight tonight to open doors and windows and throw some orange peels and money INTO the front door - leave this largesse in the front entry for a full 24 hours and then VACUUM any excess up. NEVER sweep lest you sweep all your New Year luck and fortune away. And if you haven’t gotten rid of your salt cure from 2012 NOW would be that time too! ‘Like’ and ‘Share’ and GO US GO! XXOXOE
